- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆March 1, 2017. I wish I would have read the reviews. I wouldn't have used him. My tax prep fee went from $187 three years ago under Art Rhoads to over $600 this year. Every year he's made major mistakes with my taxes, and it's because he didn't use the 1099's I gave him, consequently I just got an IRS bill showing almost $2,700 due. The 1099's are even in the binder he sent me, but he didn't add those figures to my income. I'm mad at myself for having him do my taxes. I'm not going to rant anymore, it'll only make me more mad!
